Senior Manager, Development

Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Education: BFA, Rhode Island School of Design; MS, New York University, School of Professional Studies

Morolake Odeleye began her career in development at the New York Civil Liberties Union and quickly grew to understand the power of philanthropy to fuel important social justice work. Inspired by the exceptional work happening on behalf of her clients, partners and donors, Morolake moved to America Needs You to expand their individual giving program and help the organization deepen its impact in New York City. In 2016, Morolake had the opportunity to support students in some of NYC’s most vulnerable communities by joining Blue Engine’s development team and pushing forward an ambitious individual giving agenda. Working in partnership with a diverse group of stakeholders, she oversaw the relaunch of the organizations’ junior board and continues the work of managing this group to successful experiential and financial outcomes. She has also revamped Blue Engine’s annual fund program, executing an annual calendar of cultivation, stewardship and solicitation touchpoints – including Blue Engine’s Annual Benefit. Morolake earned a BFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2007 and MS in Fundraising from New York University in 2013.
