Education: B.A. History, James Madison University
Philip is a recent graduate of James Madison University, where he majored in history. During his studies at JMU, Philip become discouraged by long standing flaws that the education system was perpetuating. His time at JMU revealed that he, like many others, had not been taught how to think, but rather what to think. After graduating he wanted to contribute to changing the way that conventional education is conducted. He believes that Blue Engine’s emphasis on critical learning and focus on students rather than test scores is the way to teach students to think. Philip is excited to be joining the team as an ELA BETA.
