A proud cheesehead, Jane graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Political Science and English Literature. In 2010, she started working at Camp Minikani; immediately, she was hooked on mentoring youth, specifically finding gratification in helping her campers set and achieve personal goals. In the summer of 2015, Jane served as the Leadership Training director, fostering growth in 15 and 16-year-olds as she taught and modeled interpersonal communication, responsible decision-making, and conflict resolution. As an English BETA, she is excited to combine her passion for working alongside high school students with her love of grammar, reading, and writing. Jane credits inspirational high school teachers for her desire to study and subsequently teach English. They were a testament to the effect of passionate teachers on high student achievement. Believing that a shared vision is the key to success, Jane is honored to be a part of a program whose members believe in the unique ability of each student.
