Erina was born and raised in Southern California. Her love of drawing, creative learning and design led her to study Architecture in college. During her time in college, she worked on a design project for the Center of Independent Living in Berkeley, CA, and grew more aware of the community projects that helped underserved populations. She also gained hands-on experience while serving as a volunteer for the Oakland Asian Students Educational Services (OASES), an organization that assists under-resourced communities with tutors and mentorship. After Berkeley, she worked in public agencies through internships at Orange County Parks and Los Angeles City Planning, then as a Project Manager at the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Erina is excited at the opportunity to work with students again and hopes that her past experience and knowledge will be valuable in the classroom.
