Christine was born to immigrant parents who came to the U.S. in hopes of creating better lives for themselves and their families. At a young age, her parents instilled in her the importance of obtaining a good education, which meant knowledge, awareness and change for the better. During high school, she volunteered to be tutor at a nonprofit organization in her local community. She found the relationships she had built with her students and their families extremely rewarding. Since then, she has had multiple opportunities working and connecting with elementary and middle school students in her local community by working at other academic enrichment centers. Christine always knew she wanted to pursue a field in which she could serve as a positive influence to others and give back to her community. Her past experiences working with younger generations have only strengthened her desire to become a future educator. She is excited to join Blue Engine and serve as a BETA during the upcoming school year.
