Camille moved from Birmingham, AL, to Memphis, TN, to attend Rhodes College where she graduated with bachelors degrees in Psychology and English. During her time there, she was involved in Rhodes Singers, psychology research and served as editor-in-chief of The Bridge, a student-run street paper that brings awareness to homelessness in Memphis. After interning with two local non-profits, Camille discovered an interest in working with young people in an education setting. She recognized first-hand that teaching is much more than the transfer of information — it’s also an avenue for cultivating meaningful relationships and a love of learning. She joined Blue Engine because of its revolutionary, team-based approach to public education. When not in the classroom, Camille can be found in a nearby coffee shop or shamelessly belting any given track from Les Mis or Hamilton.
