Born in New York City, Abigail grew up in Washington, DC and New Jersey. She graduated from Yale University, where she received a degree in Global Affairs with a focus on international security. Throughout college, Abigail dedicated her time supporting educational enrichment programs in Connecticut, as well as in her New Jersey hometown. She also served a term as the Vice President of New Haven REACH, a group that leads college preparatory workshops for high school students. Abigail also worked as a staff member for IMANI Programs, a New Jersey-based organization that provides academic enrichment programs and college application support for K-12 students. Abigail ultimately hopes to combine her interests in international relations and education by working to ensure that American curriculums have an international focus and that students of all backgrounds have access to foreign language and study abroad programs. Outside of the classroom, Abigail loves singing gospel music and running. She is excited to return to her city of birth and is honored to have the opportunity to work with and learn from students, as well as her fellow BETAs, during the 2016-2017 school year.
